Becoming a STAR

Good morning God. Thank you for this spectacular day! Momma Mamie says every day is her birthday. My father used to say, “This day was made for me.” I’m beginning to know what they mean. Today is a new beginning, a rebirth from our night of slumber. Today is a gift from God, to enjoy, to live spectacularly. So today is my day. Today is a day of abundance, and it does not depend upon my physical circumstances (if I feel well or not), my financial circumstances (no matter if I can pay my bills or buy things), or my family circumstances (if we are in love or out of love, near or far away, living or deceased). No matter what circumstances we have, we are loved, blessed, and living life like it’s Golden, according to singer Jill Scott; but it is!!

I am celebrating my birthday on March 24; I will be sixty!!!! I love the sound of that! It sounds like I have finally arrived at an age of substance!!! I am beginning to celebrate each day, to treat each day like it's my birthday, like it’s golden, because IT IS! José told me to hold dates on my calendar. It’s a surprise… I pray my children will be there, or some of them. I pray my friends will be there and family, or perhaps at another time.

I am so very thankful to share this holiday with José!!! My life partner, my love, my travel through life buddy!! Thank you God for gifting us with each other. Thank you for TREMENDOUSLY BLESSING OUR RELATIONSHIP and making it SPECTACULAR! So spectacular and rich it has expanded our love capacity. Just like having Cannday, Aaron, and Ana multiplied and exponentially increased my love, so has knowing José. When I opened my heart and allowed José’s love to pour inside, it filled me to the brim!!! Eventually my cup ran over, and it rocketed out the top of my head, like a star!!!! I became a STAR! My light permeated throughout my entire body and shot out of my head, hands, and feet, and my eyes too. God’s love was made more complete in me by loving another. That’s why the greatest commandment is to love: Matthew 22:36-40 and John 13:34

We must love God first, to be a vessel contained with and connected to God. Next, we must love ourselves, an act of believing in God by accepting God’s gift of life to us, and lastly, the third ingredient to becoming a STAR is to love another unconditionally. Yes, I was fine before (I had faith), I was happy before (I loved myself), but then I became spectacular when I said “yes” at the alter and committed to loving José for all time; I became a STAR! Prince’s song “Baby, I’m a Star,” comes to mind. Prince was right, “Baby… we are all a star!”

Baby I'm a (star)
Might not know it now
Baby but I are, I'm a (star)
I don't want to stop, 'til I reach the top
Sing it (We are all a star!)

Love & Light!

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my stories and reflections. It's hard for some of us to share our views or experiences, but that's how we get to know each other better and build more supportive and loving communities.
